Advertising formats, sponsorship labelling, creative standards and editorial-independence rules for Trending News Talk.

Trending News Talk offers advertising and partnership opportunities for organisations that want to reach the publication’s readers without confusing commercial persuasion with journalism. This page explains the formats ordinarily available, the standards applied to paid material and how to start a conversation. It is not a rate card, a guarantee of availability or a promise of a particular audience result.

Available placements

Subject to current inventory and technical review, placements may include leaderboard and billboard positions around the masthead, sidebar display units, in-feed units, in-article placements, footer positions, mobile placements, sponsored articles, partner content and network campaigns across selected 24World Media publications. A house banner or network promotion may occupy a position when no third-party campaign is booked. Exact dimensions and rendering can vary by template and device; a booking should confirm the current specification before creative is produced.

Sponsored content and labelling

A reader must be able to tell when material is paid for. Sponsored articles and commercially supplied content are labelled according to format and applicable law, and advertising units carry the label applied by the site or ad system. Sponsored material does not receive a Staff Reports news byline merely because it appears on a news site. We may reject or require changes to creative or copy that is deceptive, unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, visually misleading or inconsistent with the publication’s standards.

Editorial independence

Buying advertising does not buy news coverage, a favourable review, a ranking, a correction to truthful reporting or the removal of an accurate story. Advertisers may be covered as companies or public actors when events justify it. Journalists are not required to clear news judgments with an advertiser, and an advertising relationship is disclosed where a reasonable reader would consider it material. Network commercial services, including distribution through affiliated services where offered, remain separate from the independent news judgment exercised on this publication.

Creative and landing-page standards

  • Creative must identify the advertiser honestly and must not imitate a news alert, system warning, masthead or article card.
  • Claims about price, performance, health, finance, availability or endorsements must be substantiated and current when the campaign runs.
  • Landing pages must load securely, state material terms and avoid forced downloads, deceptive buttons or unexpected data collection.
  • Political, health, financial, gambling, adult and other regulated categories may require additional review and may be declined.
  • Third-party tags and measurement tools are subject to security, privacy, page-speed and consent review; unauthorised code is not permitted.

Network campaigns

24World Media operates a network of specialist and general-interest publications. A network buy can be useful where the same lawful campaign is genuinely relevant to different audiences, but placement on one outlet does not imply identical demographics, performance or editorial context on another. We can discuss which publications are live and appropriate at the time of enquiry. We will not invent audience guarantees or present unrelated network reach as though it were measured readership for this domain.

How to enquire

Use the Contact page and choose “Advertising and partnerships”. Include the advertiser, website, campaign objective, preferred publications, dates, geography, formats and a link to proposed creative or landing pages if available. Current availability, specifications, pricing, billing terms, taxes, cancellation terms and measurement arrangements are confirmed in writing for the particular campaign. Nothing on this page obliges either party to proceed.
